Dan Crew, General Manager of Kness Albia, IA (October 08, 2019) – Since 1924, Kness Manufacturing has specialized in manufacturing high-quality pest defense products. The Iowa-based industry leader recently expanded their leadership team and is proud to announce the hiring of Dan Crew as the company’s General Manager. In his new position, Crew will oversee the daily operations of Kness. Being involved in various aspects of the business such as creating and implementing strategies designed to grow the company, manage the development of key performance goals, and other important functions that ensure the delivery of quality Kness products to customers.

Crew brings a wealth of industry experience and professional dedication to refining manufacturing processes. Before being brought onto the Kness team, Dan was at his previous employer for 31 years. There he had been involved in near every aspect of manufacturing, starting as a production worker and moving his way up from acting foreman, production scheduler, data control specialist, senior site purchasing agent and finally as a process control technician.

His vast knowledge and experience of manufacturing extend beyond that related to everyday work. Crew is also very involved with Six Sigma, a set of management techniques aimed at improving business processes. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt professional and is well versed in the methodology. By utilizing his experience and Six Sigma tools, Crew looks forward to helping strengthen the foundation that Kness has established for its products and services.
